ABOUT

My artwork is inspired by nature, life, metaphysics, textures, patterns, minimalism, Daoist and yogic philosophies, wabi-sabi aesthetic, and all things related to design (in particular, graphic, interior, fashion, and product). I strive to make my work objects of beauty and/or visual resting space for uplifting states of being.

I studied Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art and earned my BFA in 2009. While I exhibited my work in galleries in New York, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia in the several years after graduating, I took a break from making art to explore teaching, graphic design, and natural healing. I was an art teacher for various schools for about a decade, and have worked as a freelance graphic designer since 2009. I also have been practicing as a professional Reiki Master Teacher since 2014 and an Access Consciousness Bars Practitioner since 2016.

In 2019, I began exploring a long time interest of mine: pottery. I’ve fallen in love with the practice and it is now my main artistic outlet.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or commission inquiries!

With warmth and light,
Emily
